3 Days of First-Aid course is over!
Remember about the First-Aid course I talked about in my previous post? Yeah thats the one (:
DAY 1
Well, first day was kind of boring. 1st half of the course was theory at AVA. Boring but tried to keep my eyes fixed on the ppt slides. KT was already dozing off. Haha. Endured the theory part, had lunch break at Mac. Aft an hr, came back and headed to Training room. Had practical. Separated into 2 classes; Class A and B. Class A consisted of NCC, Scouts and some of NPCC I guess? Class B consisted of the rest (Girl guides, SJAB and NPCC.) We did bandages first. I pretty like bandages cuz it's quite okay. After that, changed over and did CPR. For the first time! Was scared/nervous/mixed feelings/blahblah. After first try it was okay but still not confident! And hand, leg super aching. CPR is damn tiring. I cant imagine doing 5 cycles or even MORE. After that headed home (:
DAY 2
Went to AVA again for theory. Well, boring again but it was better? Whole guides brought lotsa snacks. Practically snacking most of the time! Lol. After that lunch break and ate Long John. Service is slow. Really. Thanks for waiting before eating :D Went back to AVA again, did final bit of theory and then followed by practical. Polished up our skills of bandaging. Did lotsa practices. Then did CPR again and Abdominal thrust (for choking of casualty). Tried out some methods of Transporting of casualty too. Supposed to do Recovery position too but only some did. Test on day 3! Headed home!

Studied at home for test and did practices for practical! Theory can really make you sleep.
DAY 3
Day 3! Met at AVA but later was split up into class A and B. We went to Training room. Had final revision before having Theory test! Everyone passed! Hooray! Instructor tricked us! Passing mark was only 6/10 but she said was 8/10! Made me super nervous. Did practical again and had early lunch break. Came back and there was still some time for practices. After that the doctor came and Class A started the practical test first. Was super nervous when it was my turn! I almost died. I bandaged Raymond's hand cuz he was the casualty. Luckily not some unknown stranger. Lol. Then did CPR, 3 cycles only. Luckily, 3 cycles and I almost died alr. Haha. The doctor said it was okay. Relieved. Hope I pass! Headed home after the test.
Now I have muscle aches all over alright! Thanks to CPR. Lol.
Going to have dinner now. :D
